Our church is a friendly, thriving and growing all age church in which we celebrate all that God is and means to us. This is expressed through our worship and ministry and by each individual’s daily lifestyle and the sense of a genuine desire to worship a living and gracious God.
Whatever age you may be you will find an opportunity to develop friendships. We are pleased that our fellowship is made up of many people, all with differing status, backgrounds and professions. But a common theme that runs through our fellowship is the fact that Jesus Christ has made the difference.
Elim Christian Centre looks forward to welcoming you soon!
Karen became a Christian on the 6 June 1991. Her church life began in Motherwell Elim church. She has been happily married to Nigel for 35+ years and been involved with Junior Church for the past few years. God gave her a heart for our young people at the start of her Christian walk, even though she still doesn't think she is the right person for the job.
God made her realise: Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.
Rachel was born and raised in Motherwell Elim and married her husband Scott here over 10 years ago. Rachel is driven by a heart of worship and is passionate about encouraging others into a deeper sense of God's presence. She has a wide range of hobbies including attending concerts and theatre productions, engaging in creative projects and spending time with her loved ones.
One of Rachel’s favourite Bible verses is Psalm 32:8 “ “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
Robert has called Motherwell Elim his spiritual home since 2000, when he was baptised. He enjoys prayer, worship and supporting his church family and the community on their life journeys. Robert has worked and supported youth in church for many years and still volunteers on occasions outside of his work role with the council. Robert enjoys keeping fit in the gym, mountain biking or running and he is most at home camping in the countryside.
Psalm 91:2 resonates with Robert. "I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust". We cannot rest in his presence if we don't spend time in his presence
